Dashboard design
As a owner of a dog who diagnosed with heart problems, I had the opportunity to visit a pet hospital in emergency situations a lot. During the visit I had to wait a long time in a queue along with many others waiting whether it is to pay, to check in to an existing queue or to arrive because it is an emergency situation and needs treatment now. As a product designer I decided to take this issue personally to offer a solution to streamline the work of the receptionist and reduce the waiting times of the customers.

Receptionists are overloaded, patients are waiting in line for a variety of reasons, and waiting times are long.
The mission was to provide Reducing the patients’ waiting time by optimizing the receptionist’s work.
What are the tasks of the receptionist?

What are the solutions offered in the market?
Receptionists handle various tasks during emergency situations, leading to long queues.
Payment process causes delays due to surprise pricing and treatment explanation.
Urgent cases face delays in scheduling appointments or lack of immediate medical attention.
For features and components, the research concludes that appointment management, electronic medical records, billing and invoicing, inventory management, and integration capabilities are the most important. Additionally, Dashboards emphasize operational insights, live visitor tracking, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
In my research, I investigated how competitors integrate dashboards with other systems in order to optimize clinic operations and improve patient care.

By focusing on dashboard optimization and addressing key pain points like payment surprises and urgent case handling, the proposed solution aims to streamline receptionist workflows and reduce patient waiting times effectively.
The goal is to help the receptionist get an indication of the status in the clinic, amount of patients and perform tasks such as patient reminders.
Scheduling appointments makes up a large part of the clerk’s duties. It should be a fast and efficient process

Find the patient by phone number or name, with the option to quickly add a new patient.

In veterinary clinics, responding quickly to liberty cases is crucial. thus the check-in process condenses it to just two steps for an effective response.
